AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP)

Course Summary: 50% programming, 50% learning how computers work and what to do about it.

Homework Purpose: Feel what programming is like. If the summer homework is too challenging, you should probably drop the class.

Expected Work Load: 20+ hours

Due Date: First day of school

Instructions

  1. Go to Code.org (https://studio.code.org/users/sign_up)
  2. Create an account using google. Use your school email. Make your username your first and last name.
  3. Once your account is created, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click “Add a Teacher.” Use code RQPJRF. The course should be called AP CSP Summer Homework: Accelerated Intro to Computer Science.
  4. Finish the entire course before the first day of school. You must complete all of the activities. There are videos and lessons that are helpful, but not required.
