AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP)
Course Summary: 50% programming, 50% learning how computers work and what to do about it.
Homework Purpose: Feel what programming is like. If the summer homework is too challenging, you should probably drop the class.
Expected Work Load: 20+ hours
Due Date: First day of school
Instructions
- Go to Code.org (https://studio.code.org/users/sign_up)
- Create an account using google. Use your school email. Make your username your first and last name.
- Once your account is created, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click “Add a Teacher.” Use code RQPJRF. The course should be called AP CSP Summer Homework: Accelerated Intro to Computer Science.
- Finish the entire course before the first day of school. You must complete all of the activities. There are videos and lessons that are helpful, but not required.
Common Problems
- If some exercises/courses do not mark as complete:
- Finish the exercise/courses and take screenshots proving you have finished them. Keep these screenshots for the first day of school.
